Expand the header, below, that matches your current grade level. You will see the steps you should and could be taking right now toward your goal of earning the ICC.

Graduating seniors should be aware that July 15 is the deadline to send all transcripts and AP scores to USI.

You should:

  1. Meet with your high school counselor and discuss your interest in earning the ICC while in high school.
    • Your school may have a curriculum guide with an ICC checklist specific for your location.
    • Map out how working toward the ICC impacts your high school graduation plan.
  2. With your parents/guardians, explore the resources at the state's My College Core website.

You could:

  1. Create an account at the My College Core website and draft your ICC plan.
    • Specific AP scores are required to earn the equivalent course at USI, thereby leading to the awarding of the ICC. In some AP exams, a 4 or higher will be required. In other AP exams, a 3 is sufficient.
  2. Share your ICC plan with your counselor.
  3. Explore which institutions accept the ICC
    • Depending on the institution at which a student enrolls, the ICC certificate may or may not serve to satisfy that institution’s general education curriculum. There are circumstances where specific courses are required for certain majors, and those might not have been offered through the high school.

You should:

  1. Meet with your high school counselor to be sure you're on track or to inform them of changing goals and plans.
