Student Wellness Programs - Fall 2020:

Please keep checking back, as this page will be frequently updated with additional programs throughout the semester. 

In-person:

HIV Testing: Take care of your sexual health and know your status! Free and confidential HIV testing is offered in partnership with AIDS Resource Group Evansville. No appointments, just drop-in. Wearing a face mask/covering is required. Fall semester testing dates include:

  • Monday 9/21: 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in Rice Library 0005 
  • Monday 10/19: 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in Rice Library 0005
  • Monday 11/16: 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in Rice Library 0005

9/3: Wellness Trivia (Virtual - Zoom) - 4 p.m. CDT: Test your knowledge about general wellness topics and campus resources with an interactive Kahoot Quiz. 

9/10: Keep your batteries charged (Virtual - Zoom) - 6 p.m. CDT: Learn proactive strategies for self-care and stress management that will help you stay energized all semester.

9/16: Keep your batteries charged (Virtual - Zoom) - 4 p.m. CDT: Learn proactive strategies for self-care and stress management that will help you stay energized all semester. 

9/24: Sleep Trivia (Virtual - Zoom) - 5 p.m. CDT: Do you know what it takes to get a good night's sleep? Test your knowledge about sleep hygiene with an interactive Kahoot Quiz. Zoom link: https://usi.zoom.us/j/96620355388

10/6: Mindfulness (Virtual - Zoom) - 12 p.m. CDT: The practice of mindfulness allows us to live more fully in the present moment and can help reduce stress. Learn simple mindfulness techniques that you can incorporate into your daily life. Zoom link: coming soon

10/19: Alcohol Safety Trivia (Virtual - Zoom) - 3 p.m CDT Zoom): Alcohol awareness week happens every October! Test your knowledge about alcohol safety with an interactive Kahoot Quiz. Zoom link: coming soon

Virtual Wellness Challenges:

Are you ready to challenge yourself to improve an aspect of your personal wellness? Join our virtual wellness challenges! Each challenge lasts 2-3 weeks and you’ll engage in a daily wellness practice, track your behaviors, and receive a weekly e-mail newsletter with tips and resources. Upon completion of the challenge, you will be entered in a drawing to win a prize!  REGISTER HERE.

9/14- 10/2: Move more: Track your steps and learn the benefits of walking for exercise, stress management, and overall health.

10/12-10/30: Sleep well: Track your sleep habits using a sleep diary, and learn more about practices to improve sleep.

11/9-11/20: Attitude of gratitude: Practice daily gratitude and learn more about the positive impacts of gratitude on mental health and emotional wellness.
