Student Wellness Programs - Fall 2023

August/September 2023:

8/28: Be Well to Do Well Table (11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. UC Breezeway): Stop by our table outside the UC to learn about the many wellness resources that exist on campus and pick up free wellness giveaways!

9/8: Sexual Health Station (11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. UC Breezeway): Stop by to test your knowledge about consent and sexual health and pick up free sexual health resources and giveaways! Sponsored by RFWC and University Health Center.

9/18: HIV Testing (12-3 p.m. in UC 2217): Take care of your health and know your status! Free and confidential HIV testing is offered in partnership with AIDS Resource Group Evansville. Free gift cards for anyone who gets tested, while supplies last! *No appointments, just drop-in*. 

9/19: Be Rested Workshop #1: Improve your snooze (4:00-4:30 p.m. in UC 2217): Learn sleep hygiene practices to improve sleep quality. This is the first session in a 2-part series! Attend both sessions and be entered in a drawing for a weighted blanket!

9/20: Be Well to Do Well Table (1:30-3:00 p.m. Pott College Advising & Resource Center): Stop by our table outside to learn about the many wellness resources that exist on campus and pick up free wellness giveaways!

9/26: Be Rested Workshop #2: Breathe and Relax (4:00-4:30 p.m. in UC 2217): Learn breathing and stretching exercises to relax and fall asleep faster. This is the second session in a 2-part series! Attend both sessions and be entered in a drawing for a weighted blanket! Co-sponsored by University Health Center.

9/27: Wellness Fair (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in Screaming Eagles Arena): The annual USI Wellness Fair for students and employees offers an opportunity to learn about different resources available at USI and in the community to support your overall health and wellness. FREE giveaways, screenings, food, and more! Learn more here. 

October 2023:

10/3: Be Well to Do Well Table (12:30 – 1:30 p.m. UC Breezeway): Stop by our table outside the UC to learn about the many wellness resources that exist on campus and pick up free wellness giveaways!

10/13-10/31: Red Flag Campaign (various campus locations): October is domestic violence awareness month, and it's important to recognize the red flags of abusive relationships! There will be 5 outdoor red flag displays around campus with information about the signs of healthy vs. unhealthy relationships. Use the hashtag #SaySomethingUSI to share how you will speak up to prevent relationship abuse and learn more here.

10/17: Flowers on the Lake (4:30 p.m. Outside Liberal Arts Center): Flowers on the Lake is an annual ceremony to honor those who have lost their lives to domestic violence and raise awareness about the warning signs of relationship abuse. In the event of rain, Flowers on the Lake will be held on October 19, 4:30 p.m. Sponsored by USI Sexual Assault & Gender Violence Prevention Group and Albion Fellows Bacon Center.

10/23: De-Stress Fest (3:00-4:30 p.m. in UC Fireside Lounge) - Feeling stressed? Come take a break! Join us for mini pumpkin painting, coloring, hot chocolate, and free stress management resources. Sponsored by RFWC and Counseling & Psychological Services.
