Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a voluntary program that offers free, regularly scheduled study sessions for traditionally difficult courses. SI sessions are led by undergraduate student SI Leaders who have previously taken the course and demonstrated academic competency in the subject area. Each SI Leader facilitates two study sessions per week. Please check your syllabus to see if SI is offered for your course.

Why SI Study Groups?

Students who participate in SI Study Groups:

  • Learn the study skills necessary to succeed in the courses.
  • Work collaboratively with peers in an open, friendly, and non-judgmental environment.
  • Receive support from an extensively trained, educated SI Leader.
  • Achieve higher academic success in the courses
