O*NET

The O*NET Program is the nation's primary source of occupational information. Valid data are essential to understanding the rapidly changing nature of work and how it impacts the workforce and U.S. economy. From this information, applications are developed to facilitate the development and maintenance of a skilled workforce.

  • Ascend Indiana 
    Ascend is a nonprofit that works with the University of Southern Indiana to connect students to early-in-career internships, part-time, and full-time jobs in Indiana. They partner with hundreds of Indiana employers and are completely free for you to use. To access the Network and receive personalized role suggestions, sign up for an initial meeting with one of their recruiters here.

    USI Students in need of professional clothing for an upcoming interview can visit and select free business wear from the Suits for Students Success Closet located in the Career Services and Internships office in the Orr Center Room 074.

  • NACE - National Association of Colleges and Employers. USI Career Services are NACE members which allows us to access numerous career-related resources. Contact your USI Career Coordinator with any questions. 
  • Pymetrics - Leverages behavior science and audited AI technology to match people to their best-fit job, bias-free.
  • Mentor Match Program - Through the Mentor Match Program, alumni (mentors) can provide guidance and support to students (mentees) by interacting with them, exchanging ideas, and sharing their experiences and knowledge of career paths.

    Mentors may be contacted by current students to serve as a one-time resource for topics such as exploring majors, resume reviews and interview questions or to provide long-term career and professional advice/activities. Mentors serve as role models and leaders as they help students reach their career goals.
