The Career Success Center is happy to support USI alumni as they navigate their career journey after graduation. Whether you're exploring a new direction, updating your resume, preparing for interviews, or searching for job opportunities, we're here to help. Alumni are welcome to schedule up to two appointments per year with a career coordinator and continue to access valuable tools like Career Launch. While our primary focus is on current students and recent graduates, we’re always glad to assist alumni with career guidance and resources.
Service Availability:
Alumni are eligible for up to two individual career advising appointments per calendar year. These appointments may focus on career transitions, job search strategies, resume reviews, or interview preparation.
Scope of Assistance:
The Career Success Center primarily provides support for entry-level roles and early-career development. Alumni looking for more specialized assistance in advanced career stages, industry-specific roles, or leadership positions may be referred to external resources for more comprehensive support.
Role of the Career Success Center:
Our staff provides the tools and resources for a successful job search, but it is important to understand that we are not responsible for securing employment for alumni. Our services, including resume assistance, interview preparation, and job search strategies, are designed to empower individuals in their job search process. Ultimately, the responsibility for applying for jobs, attending interviews, and securing a position rests with the individual.
While we strive to guide alumni toward professional success, job market conditions, competition, and individual effort all play significant roles in determining employment outcomes.
Referrals:
Alumni needing more in-depth or ongoing career assistance will be referred to external career coaches, professional mentors, or specialized job placement agencies.
