The President's Associates
The University of Southern Indiana's most prestigious gift society is The President's Associates, which honors those who make annual gifts of $1,000 or more or single gifts of $25,000 or more, and those with lifetime contributions of $50,000 or more. Members of The President's Associates have distinguished themselves with their extraordinary charitable gifts in support of the University of Southern Indiana and are considered part of the University's inner circle of philanthropy.
Organized in 1987 by the USI Foundation, The President's Associates recognizes donors of annual and lifetime gifts each year in the Honor Roll of Donors publication and at the annual President's Associates Dinner. Members also are recognized for their annual giving on the Worthington Donor Recognition Wall, which hangs in the University Center near Carter Hall. The Worthington recognition wall, The Legacy of Lifetime Giving, features the names of donors with substantial lifetime contributions and hangs outside the University Suite in the University Center.
Legacy of Lifetime Giving was established in 2003 when The President's Associates was reorganized to honor donors who achieve significant levels in their lifetime charitable giving totals. Lifetime giving levels are named in honor of four gentlemen, who during their lives not only made significant total gifts in support of the University but also gave leadership benefiting both the University of Southern Indiana and the USI Foundation.
The Jennings D. Carter Society lists donors whose lifetime giving totals $1 million or more.
The Fred C. Newman Society lists donors whose lifetime giving totals $500,000-$999,999.
The Joseph E. O'Daniel Society lists donors whose lifetime giving totals $250,000-$499,999.
The C. Wayne Worthington Society lists donors whose lifetime giving totals $100,000-$249,999.
The 1965 Society, named for the year the University was founded, lists donors whose lifetime giving totals $50,000-99,999.
Annual gifts to the USI Foundation to benefit the University of Southern Indiana are recognized as members of The President's Associates in two distinct levels.
Annual Members - Donors who make annual gifts of $1,000 or more
Perpetual Members - Donors who make single gifts of $25,000 or more, or $25,000 annually to a single program.
