Minimal level expectation for written academic assignments includes use of the sixth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) style format, expression of a logical flow of ideas, and proper grammar, spelling and sentence structure (APA, 2020). The APA manual has information regarding content and organization of a manuscript, expression of ideas, as well as information about editorial style and manuscript preparation. All written academic assignments must be typed and properly referenced. The American Psychological Association (APA) publication guidelines are used in the Nursing Program.
