Research, Evidence-Based Practice & Performance Improvement in Healthcare
Abstracts are accepted in March and October.
This platform will provide a virtual environment to disseminate research, evidence-based practice and performance improvement among healthcare disciplines. The attendee will have an opportunity to learn about strategies to improve patient care and health care systems through juried poster presentations. The learner outcome of this program is to prepare health professionals to implement effective research and evidence-based healthcare strategies and practices in their individual professional practice.
General Submission Guidelines
Three types of abstracts are invited for submission.
- Abstracts of Research.
Research is the systematic collection of information to generate new knowledge. - Abstracts of Evidenced-Based Practice.
Evidence-based practice is the conscientious integration of best research evidence with clinical expertise and patient values and needs for the delivery of quality, cost-effective health care. - Abstracts of Performance Improvement in Healthcare Issues.
Performance improvement is a continuous and ongoing effort to achieve measurable improvement in the efficiency, effectiveness, and performance to achieve quality outcomes.
All Poster Presenters:
- Research and Evidence-Based Practice abstracts may be submitted for either poster presentation.
- Performance Improvement in Healthcare Issues abstracts may be submitted for poster presentation.
- Each abstract has a unique abstract submission form. Please choose the correct form when submitting your abstract.
- All abstracts must be submitted by email.
- Abstracts must be in English and free of grammatical errors.
- The abstract text must contain no more than 300 words. Subheadings are not included in the word count.
- Disclosure of Financial Relationships Forms from each author are to be submitted with the abstract. The Disclosure of Financial Relationship Form is included below.
- All accepted poster presenters must register.
- Abstracts will be reviewed and selected through a blind review process.
- The first author will be notified of acceptance by email. Correspondence will only be sent to the first author listed.
- Poster presenters are responsible for creating their virtual poster on a PowerPoint slide.
