Past Exhibitions

What we've shown before.

Exhibitions don't last forever. They rotate out to make room for new ones, materials get returned to storage or loaned elsewhere, spaces get repurposed. But past exhibitions are part of Historic New Harmony's history too—they show what we've explored, how we've interpreted our collections and what questions we've asked over the years.

This page documents exhibitions we've hosted in the past. You can't see these displays anymore but knowing what we've done might be useful if you're a researcher, if you saw something years ago and want to remember what it was or if you're just curious about how we've told New Harmony's stories over time.

Missing Information?

Our records for older exhibitions aren't always complete. If you remember an exhibition we've missed, have documentation we don't have or can fill in details about past shows, we'd like to hear from you. Contact Heidi Taylor-Caudill at hltaylorca@usi.edu or 812-682-6133.

This is particularly true for exhibitions from before 2000. We're working on filling gaps in our institutional memory and community knowledge helps.
