Presented by Indiana Humanities, Liminal is a meditative aerial film that illustrates Indiana as a microcosm of this new planetary epoch. It captures features of this global phenomenon within the boundaries of the state, collapsing the global into the local. This program is part of the Unearthed initiative, Indiana Humanities’ multiyear environmental theme, asking Hoosiers to consider their impact on the environment and the environment’s impact on us. Historic New Harmony will be offering a free screening of Liminal at 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CDT) on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Atheneum. An accompanying exhibition of film stills is on display at the Atheneum from Thursday, June 29 to August 20, 2023.
