Dementia Friendly Communities
Sixty percent of older adults with Alzheimer’s disease
or other dementias reside in the community.
Twenty-five percent of these individuals live at home.* The USI GWEP seeks to walk alongside family caregivers, direct care providers, primary health providers, physicians, health professions students and USI faculty by educating and equipping our partners to better care and support those living with Alzheimer’s and related disorders.
