The University of Southern Indiana Art and Design Department will be partnering with the Evansville African American Museum to present the Black Art Workshop and Exhibition in the MAC/Pace Galleries.
The workshop event will be Friday, June 28 to Sunday, June 30, and the exhibition will run Monday, June 24 to Friday, August 30.

The Workshop Weekend
Friday: VIP Evening Reception
Museum members and guests of USI will meet with the artists and enjoy beverages and hors d’oeuvres.
Saturday: Workshop & Community Artist Reception
The workshop begins at 10 a.m. Two one-hour morning sessions will take place, followed by an hour for lunch. Sessions resume at 1 p.m. and last until 5 p.m.
At 7 p.m. artists and community members are invited for an artist meet and greet reception.
Sunday: Studio Sessions & Panel Discussion
The workshop begins at noon and ends at 2 p.m. A panel discussion will occur from 3 to 5 p.m.
*Artists and community members will be surveyed about the experience. Survey results will be used in the final grant report and restructuring and planning of another iteration of the Black Art workshop for 2025.
The event is free and open to all, but registration is required.
