Thanks to the support of the Goethe-Institut, the USI Multicultural Center and the College of Liberal Arts, The World Languages and Cultures department is happy to present SERIE German Film Festival at USI!

Films will be shown in Forum I in the Wright Administration Building. A brief introduction will precede each film, and a discussion will follow. All films include English subtitles.

All films will be shown on Thursdays at 7 p.m. in Forum I (USI campus). 

The nearest parking lot is Lot B.

Thanks to the support of Tournées, the College of Liberal Arts, and the USI Society for Arts and Humanities, we screened six different French language films on USI's campus.

All films were shown in French with English subtitles. The festival is free and open to the public.

Each films were shown on Fridays at 7 p.m. in Forum I (USI campus). The nearest parking lot is Lot B.

* With the exception of The Big Bad Fox, most of the films we will showcase are meant for more mature audiences. France doesn’t use a similar system of film rating meaning there isn’t a set “PG/PG-13/R” rating that we can use to label the films.

The World Languages and Cultures department presents the German Film Festival (SERIE). Through the generosity of the Goethe-Institut (Boston, MA) and the assistance of the USI Society for the Arts and Humanities, we secured the rights to five films to screen on campus for a large public audience.

Start time: 7:00 p.m.

Location: Forum 1, in the Forum Wing of the Wright Administration Building. The closest parking is in Lot B.

The Spanish Film Club series was made possible with the support of Pragda, SPAIN arts & culture and the Secretary of State for Culture of Spain. 

World Languages and Cultures at USI presented the third installment in the international film series with a German Film Festival (SERIE). Through the generosity of the Goethe-Institut (Boston, MA) and the assistance of the USI Society for the Arts and Humanities, we secured the rights to five films – MLili MarleenThe SystemAlmanya: Welcome to Germany, and Run Lola Run - which were screened on campus for a large public audience.

With over 500 attendees, the first Tournées Film Festival at USI in 2015 was a huge success! We couldn't have done it without the support of the USI and Tri-State communities.

A woman's quest to uncover her past in Martinique. A single father's touching relationship with his daughter, set in a bleak, rural town in Quebec. The charmingly animated story of friendship between a bear and a mouse. Through these stories and more, you will discover French and Francophone culture in six critically acclaimed films. Through the generous support of the FACE Foundation, the College of Liberal Arts, and the Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Southern Indiana, we are bringing you the Tournées Film Festival on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. from January 23 - February 27.  The films will be shown in French with English subtitles. The screenings are free and open to the public. A brief introduction will precede each film, and you are welcome to stay for a discussion afterwards.

The Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Southern Indiana is proud to present a free film series that features recent cinematic works from several different Spanish-speaking countries, from the Sahrawi refugee camps of Algeria to urban Argentina.
