Knowing how well your processes deliver the products or services your customers need is at the heart of Six Sigma.  Evaluating when Six Sigma is the right toolkit and where other improvement methodologies like PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act), Lean (Six Sigma), 4DX (Four Disciplines of Execution) or Work-Out might work better is critical to efficiency. Each module includes hands-on application-based learning. Participants will be confident practitioners of the full Six Sigma Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) Green Belt toolkit.

 Core skills and methodologies

  • Apply the DMAIC model: Master the five phases of the DMAIC process (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) to approach and solve business challenges.
  • Identify and reduce waste: Understand the 8 Wastes of Lean and apply Lean practices to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Use Six Sigma tools: Learn and apply fundamental Six Sigma tools and concepts, such as process mapping, cause and effect diagrams, and mistake-proofing (Poka Yoke).

Our instructors are accredited providers of the Council for Six Sigma Certification. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to take the test and receive an internationally recognized certification. A Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC) Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is an individual that possesses a thorough understanding of enhanced problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) model. The Green Belt Certification designation also reflects the knowledge of the individual to serve as a trained team member within his or her function-specific area of the organization.

Green Belt training is suitable for employees at all levels. The program is six days - two 3-day weeks in person (no virtual option).  The second 3-day week would be 2-6 weeks apart from the first 3-day week to give participants an opportunity to gather data for their green belt project, as this program does require actual project work. Therefore, we suggest that participants from the same department/organization team up and work on one project.  Our master black belt instructors will be available virtually to coach participants through their project work.

Participant materials that are included in the training program consist of a workbook, training supplies, Six Sigma Memory Jogger, and project consulting. Course instruction is provided by Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt instructors. CSSC green belt certification is granted to participants that complete the training, successfully complete a green belt project, and pass the green belt exam, which is offered on the last day of week 2 (test cost is additional $159 pp).  CSSC certification is a lifetime certification and is accepted internationally.
