Community Engagement
The University of Southern Indiana’s Community Engagement programs follow the Carnegie Foundation’s definition of Community Engagement which is “the collaboration between higher education institutions and their larger communities (local, regional/state, national, global) for the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources in a context of partnership and reciprocity.”
As such, our Community Engagement programs provide scholarship and research opportunities for faculty, staff and students with various constituents and community partners and enhance the quality of life in the region. We complement and work closely with the other areas of Outreach and Engagement.
