Enhance your USI experience by studying abroad! At the University of Southern Indiana and the Romain College of Business, students have the chance to get the most out of their time in college by exploring a variety of study abroad opportunities.

Studying abroad offers business students a unique opportunity to gain global perspectives on markets, management practices, and economic systems, enriching their education and professional development. "Discussing the actions and values of leaders within the show and how they can be learned from in the real world while we were in the very places Game of Thrones was filmed made for an unforgettable experience–one I know I won't find anywhere else.”

Western Europe

"Sustainable Success in the Global Marketplace" is a USI faculty-led program offers students the opportunity to study international business across Germany, the Netherlands, and France, with a focus on how institutional forces and cultural differences not only shape business practices but also have a real impact on a company’s performance. USI students will learn alongside and from students from throughout Europe and the world, with classroom lessons driven home through company and cultural site visits. Students will live and learn primarily in beautiful Osnabrück, Germany—the “City of Peace”—with additional exploration in Berlin, Paris, and Amsterdam, three of Europe’s finest cultural capitals.

All students participating in this program will be enrolled in the primary course, MNGT 445: International Business. MNGT 445 can serve as a 300-level or above general elective for all USI students. For students majoring in business administration, management, or marketing, the course will satisfy 3-credit hours of directed electives for their major. For business administration majors with an international business area of interest, the course is required.

The program is led by Dr. Magdalena Viktora-Jones, Assistant Professor of Management. In addition to Management, Dr. Viktora-Jones also studied International Business and grew up in Germany. Dr. Viktora-Jones is excited to offer USI students the unique opportunity to study International Business as part of the Hochschule Osnabrück’s long-running International Summer University in one of Evansville’s sister cities.

“My study abroad trip this summer with "Castles to Corporations" was one of the best experiences of my life. I got to meet so many new people who positively impacted me. If I had the chance to re-do this study abroad trip, I definitely would!"
