USI campus to reopen, classes resume, January 28

The University of Southern Indiana will resume normal campus operations, and classes will resume, at 8 a.m. Wednesday, January 28. Employees and students should exercise caution and use judgement based on localized weather conditions. If you are unable to travel, work with your supervisor or faculty to make alternative arrangements. Additional information for employees has been emailed.

Dr. Brian L. McGuire, interim dean of the Romain College of Business, received the Lybrand Certificate of Merit at IMA’s 2018 Annual Conference and Exposition that was held in Indianapolis. The Lybrand Certificate of Merit, which is conferred in the Strategic Finance and Management Accounting Quarterly Annual Manuscript Competition, is awarded annually for excellence in contributing to the literature for the advancement of management accounting. The award was given for the manuscript XBRL in the Cloud, which was published in Strategic Finance, a global journal that is distributed to more than 130,000 subscribers, which includes numerous international companies, universities, and libraries.

McGuire was previously awarded a Lybrand Certificate of Merit in 2001 for the manuscript What Your Business Should Know About Internet Security, and he was awarded the Lybrand Silver Medal in 2007 for the manuscript Evaluating Possible Second-Wave Benefits of XBRL.
