USI campus closed Saturday and Sunday, January 24-25

Due to inclement weather, the University of Southern Indiana campus will be closed, and all in-person classes, activities and on-campus events are canceled beginning at noon Saturday, January 24 and continuing through Sunday, January 25. Online classes will continue asynchronously unless students are notified by their professor. Essential personnel only should report to work. If you are unsure of your status, contact your supervisor. More information and updates at USI.edu/emergency.

Mu Gamma Pi Math Club
Mu Gamma Pi is open to all students who are mathematics majors, mathematics minors, elementary education majors working on their mathematics endorsements, and engineering students.

The academic advisor for Mu Gamma Pi is Dr. Heather Cook. For additional information, contact Dr. Cook or the Department of Mathematical Sciences located in SC 3255.

Sigma Zeta
Sigma Zeta, a National Honorary Society, has been active at the University of Southern Indiana for over 30 years. It recognizes students majoring in the sciences or mathematics who have earned 30 semester hours of credit (15 hrs of math and science classes) and achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.0. Students are nominated by faculty and the executive committee for membership into this organization. New members are accepted into the organization during a formal initiation ceremony.

Sigma Zeta members participate in several activities throughout the school year including judging science fairs, attending graduate school fairs, and presenting research at national meetings.

The Sigma Zeta Faculty advisor is Dr. Brent Summers.
