We are excited to announce the upcoming 2026 USI FIRST LEGO League Qualifying Tournament, proudly hosted by the University of Southern Indiana’s SwISTEM Resource Center. Taking place on November 21, 2026, this event will bring together an impressive assembly of up to 16 student teams from across Southern Indiana for the BIOGLOW™ season.
Venue: The competition will take place in the USI University Center, offering a dynamic setting for students to showcase their innovation and teamwork.
Theme - BIOGLOW™: This year’s theme invites students to explore the vibrancy of the world’s ecosystems. Using STEM skills and teamwork, teams investigate how nature, technology, and innovation are connected—and how creative solutions can support biodiversity, strengthen communities, and help build a healthier, more connected planet.
Collaboration and Competition: Students will demonstrate their engineering and coding skills by designing and programming LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robots to complete biodiversity-inspired missions and to identify real-world problems that put biodiversity at risk, then propose innovative solutions.
Nurturing STEAM Passion: The event aims to foster a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), inspiring the next generation of leaders to make a lasting impact.
Whether you're a student, educator, parent, or a dedicated STEM supporter, this event promises an engaging experience. Join us in celebrating the dedication and talent of these Indiana's young innovators as they work to shape a brighter future.
