Welcome to STEM Discovery Lab at USI!
The STEM Discovery Lab at the University of Southern Indiana offers hands-on, standards-aligned STEM lessons and activities for K-8 student groups. Guided by professional STEM educators, our lessons allow formal and informal teachers to choose an activity that meets their students’ curricular needs, ensuring a high-quality, customized learning experience for our visitors.
Located in the Rice Library, our brand-new facility opens to the public in January 2026. Teachers can book a STEM activity, lead a self-guided tour of the university grounds, explore our expansive trail system for outdoor and environmental education activities, and enjoy a sack lunch on campus. Discover the joy of STEM with us—reserve your field trip for the 2026 spring semester and let your students uncover new possibilities through hands-on learning at USI!
