Suturing Workshop - October 8, 2024

Description of Workshop

This interactive and hands-on workshop is designed to enhance basic suturing skills for wound repair. The suturing techniques will be applicable to most primary or urgent care settings. The workshop welcomes all skill levels. All supplies and practice materials will be provided. Enrollment is limited in order to optimize the learning experience.

Who Should Enroll in this Workshop?

This workshop is designed for English-speaking advance practice registered nurses and physician associates.

Workshop Content

The workshop will provide didactic lecture and practice on the following basic suturing techniques: simple interrupted, horizontal/vertical mattress, and running stitches. The instructor will discuss pearls of wisdom on wound assessment and care.

Workshop Objectives

Upon completion of the workshop, the participant should be able to

  1. Assess basic wounds
  2. Discuss the basic suturing techniques
  3. Demonstrate the basic suturing techniques
  4. Describe care after suturing

Criteria for Successful Completion

  • Submit registration and payment
  • Actively participate in full workshop
  • Submit program evaluation

Registration fees are refundable, less a $25.00 administrative fee, prior to September 24, 2024. Refunds will not be provided after that time.
