USI campus to reopen, classes resume, January 28

The University of Southern Indiana will resume normal campus operations, and classes will resume, at 8 a.m. Wednesday, January 28. Employees and students should exercise caution and use judgement based on localized weather conditions. If you are unable to travel, work with your supervisor or faculty to make alternative arrangements. Additional information for employees has been emailed.

Scholarships available for students in gerontology-related programs!

The University of Southern Indiana Foundation has received a $100,000 grant from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield to fund scholarships for USI undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the Administrator-in-Training (AIT) residency program or any academic major, minor or certificate program offered in gerontology.

Offered by the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions at USI, the 100% online Master of Health Administration (MHA) will prepare graduate students for leadership roles in healthcare. USI’s affordable and flexible program is designed for individuals who have a bachelor's degree and desire to diversify their leadership skills or obtain a leadership position in the healthcare field.

There are two options within the MHA program for earning graduate certificates:

Administrator-in-Training Graduate Certificate

1,040 residency with exam prep classes

Post Acute Care Graduate Certificate

12 credit hour certificate

Activity Professionals

10 credit hour certificate

Social Services Designee

15 credit hour certificate
