National Caregiver's Month

Written by Brandy Sitzman, Project Coordinator for USI's Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP)

The month of November is traditionally dedicated to National Family Caregiver’s Month. It a time to honor and celebrate the love and sacrifice of the over 50 million family caregivers in the United States. According to the Caregiver Action Network, highlighting family caregivers during November allows us to:

  • Raise awareness of family caregiver issues
  • Celebrate the efforts of family caregivers
  • Educate family caregivers about self-identification
  • Increase support for family caregivers
