Meet Jennifer Hipp, CWPM
Well-Being Program Manager, Web MD

USI Degree: Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition, Nutrition and Wellness
Minor: Health Promotion and Worksite Wellness, 2014

What is your current occupation?
I accepted a position at WebMD Health Services in June 2014 as a health coach. I served as an interim Program Manager during 2019 and have been in my current role as a Well-being Program Manager since July 2021. I support well-being program strategy, planning and engagement in our services. I am happy to work for such a great company for over 8 years!

What brought you to USI?
I think USI has a great culture of inspiring learning and growing together. I had the opportunity to attend a great University, obtain a Bachelor’s degree in the field of my passion and develop life-long friendships.

Please tell us how the College of Nursing and Health Professions prepared you for your career.
I will be forever grateful for my faculty and advisor, Dr. Julie L, McCullough and Kathy Weinzapfel, Career and Placement Services Director. These two amazing women helped to guide my career planning process with my best interests in mind.  Kathy worked diligently within her network to help me form connections and get my foot in the door at WebMD Health Services.

Were you in any clubs, organizations, athletics?
I participated in the Food and Nutrition Student Organization during my 4 years at USI. I enjoyed connecting with likeminded, health-focused students to make a positive impact  I also played intermural sports, which was a great way to stay active and meet new people.

What has been your favorite memory of your time at USI?
I truly enjoyed my four years at USI. I found the Food and Nutrition program to be challenging, but exciting as I really enjoyed learning and growing with my fellow colleagues.

What would you tell someone who is thinking of coming to USI?
I was recently at USI in the fall of 2022 for the Career Fair. I could not believe how much the campus has grown and expanded. I am happy to have had the opportunity to attend USI and would tell someone interested in USI to go for it because I have no regrets!
