The APRN Symposium is pleased to welcome Sally K. Miller, PhD,
AGACNP-BC, AGPCNP-BC, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, FAANP, as our symposium presenter.  Dr. Miller is a clinical professor at the Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions, where she teaches physiology and pharmacology to APRN students. Dr. Miller is the APRN consultant/investigator to the Nevada State Board of Nursing and maintains active clinical practices with Sahara Family Practice and iCarePsychiatry in Las Vegas, NV. Additionally, Dr. Miller is a senior associate lecturer with Fitzgerald Health Education Associates. She presents the Fitzgerald Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam Review & Advanced Practice Update for family, adult-gerontology primary care, adult-gerontology acute care, and psychiatric-mental health. She also teaches pathophysiology and pharmacology courses, and numerous CE offerings including controlled substance prescribing. Dr. Miller is certified as an adult-gerontology acute care, adult-gerontology primary care, family, and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She has been published in several nurse practitioner journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Biological Research for Nursing, Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy, Journal of Primary Health Care, Journal of Correctional Health Care, and Advance for Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Miller has also served as a content reviewer for many of these publications.

This annual symposium is designed to provide current, practical information that will strengthen assessment skills and expand knowledge of patient management strategies.

Learning Outcomes

Attendees will be able to implement current effective diagnostic and treatment strategies for a variety of client health issues.

Target Audience

Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, nurses, and other health care providers in ambulatory and acute care settings.

Contact Hours

The University of Southern Indiana designates this activity for 5.75 contact hours. CE hours will be available for Nurses, Physicians, Pharmacists, Social Workers, CHES, MCHES, and Health Facility Administrators. CE hours will also be available for Indiana licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapists Assistants, and Dental Professionals.
